/searchable by spec
We turn your product master, datasheets and drawings into an online catalogue that engineers can filter by real specifications. Every page carries the right file version, so buyers stop asking your sales desk for PDFs.
↓Each loop filters a different parts store down to one product page, with its specs and files
Heard yourself say this?Count how many fit.
Five things owners tell us before a project like this starts. Every one you recognise adds a tally mark.
Tap the lines you have said this year.
One fits. Worth a short call to see if Product catalogues is the right fix.
Two fit. A short call will tell you whether to do this now or later.
Three fit. This is probably worth planning soon.
Four fit. You are losing time to this already.
All five. This page was written for you.
Product catalogues,explained without jargon.
What is an online product catalogue for a manufacturer?
One idea at a time. Each sheet lays over the last, so the picture builds up. Tap a number to jump.
It works like a well-run stores department, where every item has a bin, a label and a card that tells you exactly what it is.
It is a set of web pages built from one clean product database, where each SKU has its own page with specifications, images, drawings and certificates.
Visitors narrow the list with filters such as bore size, material grade or voltage.
When you update a spec or upload a new datasheet in one place, every page that uses it changes too.
Search engines can read each page, so a part number typed into Google can lead straight to you.
Six parts, all handed over to you.
Your Product catalogues work is made of these six parts. The comb lights each one in turn; tap a cell to read it.
Product data model
We define the attributes each product family needs, with units, allowed values and which ones become filters. This becomes the single source for the site, the portal and future printed catalogues.
Filterable category pages
Category pages let visitors narrow by the specs that matter in your trade, such as thread type, IP rating or tensile strength. Filters only show values that exist, so nobody lands on an empty result.
Product pages with technical tables
Each SKU page shows a spec table, application notes, related accessories and its approval marks. Part numbers and alternate codes are searchable on site and by Google.
Versioned document library
Datasheets, 2D drawings, 3D CAD files, manuals and test certificates attach to products with a revision number and date. Superseded files are archived so buyers always get the latest.
3D viewer and CAD downloads
Common formats such as STEP and STL can be previewed in the browser, with DWG, DXF and IGES offered as downloads. You choose which files are open and which ask for an email first.
Bulk import and admin
Your team updates products in a simple admin or by uploading a spreadsheet in an agreed template. Import checks flag missing units, duplicate part numbers and broken file links before anything goes live.

Picture a business like yours,in three frames.
A typical situation, not a client story. The line in each frame goes from tangled to straight as the work is done.

Four legs of one relay, about 10 weeks, start to finish.
Each leg is sized by how long it usually takes. Watch the baton go round, or tap a leg to jump there.
Four factors, four corners of your project.
Each corner grows when that factor is on the larger side. The outline is your project's footprint, and the quote follows it.
A compact project. The smallest footprint for your quote.
Mostly compact, with one area that needs more work.
A balanced build. Half the factors on each side.
A larger build. Most areas need extra work and time.
The full footprint. Every factor on the larger side.
The question we hear most:Should CAD downloads be open or behind an email form?
The board turns through each option. Tap one to hold it and read the trade-off.
You sell standard catalogue parts and want designers to place your part in their drawing with zero friction.
You get no record of who took the file, so sales cannot follow up.
Your parts are specified early in a project and knowing the company is worth a small extra step.
Some designers will skip the form and pick a competitor whose files are open.
You want Google and casual buyers to see specs freely while serious designers identify themselves.
You must explain on the page why the CAD file asks for details, or the form feels like a trap.
Four things that trip a project, and the fix we fit instead.
Each fuse is a mistake we see often. Watch it blow and get replaced, or tap a fuse to read the fix.
Uploading the printed catalogue as one big PDF and calling it done
Break it into individual product pages so each model can be found, filtered and ranked on its own.
Using different units and names for the same spec across families
Agree one unit and one label per attribute before import, and let the system convert for display if needed.
Showing certification marks that apply to some models only on every page
Attach BIS, CE or ISO marks to the specific SKUs they cover, with the licence or certificate number where the scheme allows it.
Leaving old datasheets live after a design change
Version every file and archive the old one the day a revision is approved.

Search the answers. If yours is missing, ask us on the call.
Cost & timeHow long does a product catalogue take and what drives the cost?
Most catalogues take 5 to 10 weeks, and the biggest factor is the state of your product data. A clean Excel master with a few hundred SKUs is quicker than specs spread across scanned PDFs. After a look at a sample of your data, we send a fixed quote within 48 hours.
After launchWho owns the product data and files after launch?
Your company owns all of it. The database, import templates, scripts and every uploaded file belong to you, and we hand over an export in open formats such as CSV and the original CAD files. You can move hosts or agencies without retyping anything.
Getting startedCan the catalogue pull products straight from Tally or our ERP?
Tally is usually good for item names, codes and stock but rarely holds full technical specs. We often read codes and stock from Tally, ERPNext or SAP Business One and keep specs in the catalogue admin. The audit tells you which split suits your data.
Getting startedHow should we show BIS certification on product pages?
Show the Standard Mark only on products covered by your current BIS licence, and follow BIS rules on how the mark and licence number appear. Products under a Quality Control Order need particular care. Check the exact display rules with your adviser or the BIS guidelines before launch.
Getting startedWill Google index thousands of product pages?
Google decides what to index, but we give it the best chance with clean URLs, Product structured data, sitemaps and unique spec content on each page. Filter combinations are handled so they do not create endless near-duplicate URLs, following Google Search Central guidance.
Getting startedCan we still print a catalogue from the website data?
Yes. Because the data sits in one database, we can generate a PDF catalogue or a single-family brochure from it. Your printed and online versions then match.
Getting startedWhat happens when we launch a new product line?
Your team adds the products through the admin or uploads a spreadsheet in the agreed template. If the new line needs new attributes or filters, we add them, and on a care plan that is part of the monthly work.
Getting startedDo download forms affect privacy compliance?
Yes. If you collect names and emails before CAD downloads, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 applies to how you ask for consent, store and use that data. We build a clear notice and consent record, and you should check the wording with your adviser.
